Taylor Chang cares deeply about the local church, and more tenderly, the art of neighboring. From a young age, her dad taught her the importance of slowing down for the person right in front of you—that they are worthy of your full attention. Having a desire to care for people, coupled with the gift of hospitality, she has spent the last 10 years leading small groups and learning what it means to be a good neighbor and friend. Taylor’s experience at Pillar Seminary highlighted the gap she saw in biblical literacy in the church. She saw that people have a strong desire to study God’s Word, and also don’t always feel equipped to do so. Her love of people and love of Scripture prompted an excitement to help shorten that gap within the local church.

Taylor married Jonathan in 2018 and became a (reluctant) California transplant (don’t worry, she loves it now). Together, they love a spontaneous day trip as well as an afternoon nap (maybe even on the same day). The transition into married life allowed her to pursue her dream of going to seminary. Taylor graduated from Pillar Seminary with a Master of Arts in Contextual Leadership.
