Dr. Scott Booth is an Old Testament scholar specializing in Hebrew Bible and the ancient Near East during the Early Iron Age. He received his PhD from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Scott is a co-founder of Pillar Seminary for Contextual Leadership, where he taught from 2013-2023, and was on staff at the Abel Beth Maacah excavations from 2016-2021. Following his time at Pillar, he founded Footnote, a non-profit aimed at teaching the church to be better listeners of themselves, their community, and the Lord through his Word. Scott is married to Anna, and together they have five kids. When he’s not studying and creating Bible content, he loves manual labor and playing video games with his kids.
